Hyderabad, April 24 (Namaste Telangana)/ Hyderabad City Bureau: In Telangana, the partisan politics against the opposition leaders has reached its climax. Revanth Reddy's government is blaming those who questioned the irregularities and raised the issue of corruption in a democracy. Even if the corruption of the government is dried up and scandals are exposed, it is a routine to be stuck with illegal cases. Unable to face the BRS leaders at the field level, this act of obstructing the police has become a hot topic of discussion in the political circles. In particular, BRS social media coordinator and spokesperson Dalit leader Manne Krishank, who is exposing the government's failures and corruption, is being targeted and thrown a net of illegal cases. Criticisms are pouring in that the police system is being used for political damage, using every little reason as an excuse. Since Congress came to power, 20 cases have been registered against Krishank across the state. The onslaught of cases that started in 2024 peaked in the year 2025 and intensified by 2026. More than ten FIRs registered in a single year is astonishing. The sections of the cases filed against budding Dalit leader Krishank can be understood as to how well-armed the Revanth Reddy government is in persecuting.
Remand if asked for justice?
The latest in the series of cases is even worse. He complained to the ACP to stop the false propaganda being spread on social media against his wife and to take action against the person responsible, Rajendra Kumar. Ulta case was filed against Krishank himself for peacefully protesting to take action against the accused who made baseless allegations against the woman. On the same complaint given by Rajendrakumar, Kukatpally police registered an FIR against Krishank and others. Krishank was arrested in this case and produced before the judge. The court remanded him for 14 days. At present he has been shifted to Sangareddy Jail. Unable to face it politically, the critics are angry that it is a proof of the Congress's politics to scare them with such police cases.
Arrest with a well-planned plan
The ground was prepared for Krishank's arrest with a well-planned plan. First he was shifted from Kukatpally police station to Balanagar ACP office. It continued till Thursday night. At 11 o'clock in the night, Krishank was arrested and taken away by Kukatpally police. BRS legal team and leaders inquired as there was no information about where they were being taken. He found that he was being taken for medical tests and reached there. Krishank was taken to the judge's house around 12 midnight. The police placed the remand report before the judge at 1.30 pm after midnight. But it is learned that objection has been raised to include section 308 class-5 which is not in the complaint. It is for this reason that Krishank was taken back to the police station. The police deliberately detained Krishank at the station for the whole night. His followers alleged that even though they could leave him on his own bond and ask him to come in the morning, the police were intent on harassing him.
These are some of the corruption issues raised by Krishank.
Error with non-complaint sections
Krishank was produced in the court by the police on Friday. However, the court struck down that Section 308 Class-5 BNS section was applicable here. As all the other sections are within seven years, there is an opportunity to give notices. With this, the police created a new drama. The rules were violated. A memo was filed stating that 21 cases are pending against Krishank. Police should first file a memo after giving notice to their council, but the police did this with the intention of putting him in jail anyway. The BRS Legalcell team strongly opposed the memo issued by the police. After hearing the arguments, the court remanded seven others along with Krishank. Arguments on Krishank's bail petition will come before the court on Monday. Meanwhile, BRS advocates stated that the Court has deleted Class 308 because the flaws in the police investigation are clearly visible. It is alleged that the police filed a memo and misled the court as well.– BRS, Legal Cell Representative, Jakkula Laxman
